Gethsemane Church of Jesus Christ, Inc.
Our primary mission at Gethsemane Church of Jesus Christ, regarding the homeless, is to lead them to Christ.
Our efforts do not end there, we also have an effort in place to assist the homeless men and women in our community in their everyday needs. We provide food, water and hygiene supplies and at times just simple companionship. We enjoy sitting and talking with men and women in our community to get a better understanding of what they go through on a daily basis, and how we can make their lives better.
We are currently going through the proper channels to begin a weekly bible class at our local shelter and a food pantry. With God's help these will be established in order for more people to hear the true living word of God that lives may be changed!
Our purpose is to reveal Jesus Christ to all men. Provide men with the resource to develop character. Under the leadership of Deacon Rayford Williams a faithful mentor and leader for over 20 years. With Elder Vance Rogers different initiatives have been created. By fellowship, study and pray to strengthen our walk with God. These attributes allow the Men's Ministry Auxiliary not only to positively impact the congregation, but the community at large.
Our continuing theme is "Women Working Together in Unity: In Unity there is Strength."
Our goal is to help women to grow spiritually into a lifestyle that use their knowledge and gifts to reach non-christian. With the focus on women's spiritual development. How to serve one another in Christ. Help each other in time's of need and to grow in faith.
We believe in bringing hope those who are bound and feel hopeless; to reassure them that Christ is with them even in their darkest moments. We do monthly visits to the prisons where we have prayer, worship and teaching. We are dedicated to bringing every soul to Christ.
